This is the essence of what makes me click - it's my faith in the unseen! As you scroll down the page ask yourself these same questions.

who colours your life - faith in the unseen
Faith in the unseen - who colours your life?

Who Colours Your World?

God’s glory shines through His creation and He coloured the world for our childlike delight.

Throughout all creation there is such beauty to be seen and to be discovered ...right down to the tiniest of details. I never really took much interest in Iris flowers until I started macro photography and saw how detailed each flower was. Becoming a photographer has opened my eyes and delighted me in so many ways. I'm constantly in awe of what my heavenly Father has done for me ...but even greater than colouring our world He gave us His only Son - Jesus.

God, the engineer of all creation,
Spoke the word, and beauty was begun,
Then He gave to us His great salvation
Through the sacrifice of His own Son. ~ Hess

Are You Secure?

thank you -faith in the unseen
I am secure - it's my faith in the unseen ...are you secure?

He was whipped and brutally beaten, nailed to a cross, took my place so I could be forgiven, He washed me in His blood and now I am free from condemnation.

Jesus paid my fine and I'm not guilty.

Thank you Lord!

Who Directs Your Life?

When I'm face with trials and problems in life I can trust Him for He sees the bigger picture. We all plan our futures. But it's only when stop relying on ourselves and put our trust in the Lord that we'll know we are on the right path. It's my prayer that my children will follow in their parents footsteps and let the Lord do the leading.

When you walk with the Lord you can be sure that you're headed in the right direction.

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise. ~ Ephesians 5:15

Who do You Cling To?

Who Do You Cling To? - green ivy leaves.
Thank goodness for my faith in the unseen! Who do you cling to?

These leaves remind me of my life with Jesus.  I cling to Him just like these ivy leaves cling to the tree trunk.

When I'm face with trials and problems in life I can trust Him for He sees the bigger picture.

He knows what's best for me and my family.  He holds us secure.

Safety is not found in the absence of danger but in the presence of God. He's our protector. He's our hiding place and refuge. Nothing can penetrate us unless it is a part of His loving plan for our lives ... and ultimately for our good.

No one is more secure than those who are in God's hands.

He can do the same for you too. All you need to do is to reach out to Him as He's already reaching out to YOU!

What's your daily nourishment?

Just as we need our daily intake of bread and other foods this verse in John reminds us also of the spiritual nourishment we need to take daily to strengthen us.

Jesus is the bread of life
My daily bread is what makes me click!

To be a healthy Christian we need to be reading the word of God daily.

One mark of a well-fed soul is a well-read Bible!

What aroma can’t be bottled or sold?

rose flower scent - faith in the unseen

The garden wears a particular mixture of fragrances at this time of year as the aroma from lavender, honeysuckle and roses wafts through the air.  But there's one particular fragrance in the world that can't be bottled, bought or sold.

It's the aroma of Jesus.

We are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
~ 2 Corinthians 2:15

Put your faith into practice one step at a time then when you are walking with Jesus as others will sense that He is with you!

How Patient are You?

waiting patiently
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His Word I do hope.

Be like me ...pray for patience to be patient! I've learned over the years that God seldom does great things in a hurry!

Patience is a Virtue!

I know that developing patience in life can be a long and difficult journey, especially when we are confronted with so many stressful and frustrating situations in our lives. The bible is full of examples of God teaching His people how to be patient in so many different circumstances. In Abraham's case God promised...I will make you a great nation ...One who will come from your own body shall be your heir Genesis 12:2,4.

Sara was 90 years old when God gave this promise. They both had to wait 25 more years for that promise to be fulfilled when their son Issac was born. Just like Abraham and Sara, when God makes promises we have to learn to trust Him and to patiently wait for their fulfillment no matter how long that takes. Patience is a gift of the spirit and one that's not automatically given to us once we become Christians. It's through trials, hardship, pain and perseverance that He develops this fruit in our lives.

Today I'm reminded that I serve a living God who keeps His word. As He walks with me through the trials of life I'm assured that He's going to work it all out. He's an all wise Heavenly Father who is in absolute control of my life.

What Happens When You Face the Waves of Adversity?

woman standing in front of waves - faith in the unseen
My faith in the unseen gets me through each day

Waves of trouble may come upon us all but when we are firmly rooted in Jesus we will not be swept away. When adversity is ready to strike us, then God is most ready to strengthen us. When trouble overtakes you, let God take over.

God’s love does not keep us from trials; it helps us get through them!

Are You Content?

The Lord may deny our request but He'll never disappoint our trust.  Contentment is realizing that God has already given me all I need.   Money can't buy contentment, coveting the material things of this world can't buy it either.  Covetousness never brings satisfaction ...only Jesus can do that.

Contentment is not about possessing everything but giving prayerful thanks for everything I possess.

Lord, help me to sincerely pray,
whatever You will,
whenever You will,
and however You will.

Promises Delivered ... Guaranteed!

trainers hanging from wire fence
faith in the unseen - promises kept!

Many years ago an Australian pastor and his wife trusted that even though their son had been born with no arms and no legs that the Lord would have a plan. Furthermore a purpose and a hope for their sons life. Theirs was a faith that knew and trusted that God always performs what He promises. Nick Vujicic has never needed shoes. But he found that it was only through Jesus who gave him the hope, endurance and encouragement to accept his disabilities and live his life.

Faith knows that God always performs what He promises guaranteed!

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. ~ Romans 15:4

Made poor choices in life?

a workshop full of tools
faith in the unseen

Let's be honest ...every one of us has!  A furniture restorer can see past the old paint; past the cracks; the scars in the wood and see the beauty in an old piece of furniture. He uses his imagination and spends his time stripping back the paint, sanding and repairing the wood. He restores something that once was useless and in decay and that was only fit for being firewood.

It's a labour of love

A craftsman can turn this wood into something new and so too does the Lord with us.

Sometimes that restoration is painful for us as he strips away our hatred, anger, jealously, pride and bad habits.

He sees our wounds which sometimes are deep, our emotional and physical scars, our sin and our broken hearts.  The Lord decides how best He is going to make us into a new creation.  He sees past all of our faults and failings, sees the possibilities and starts to do His work in our lives.

BUT then just as a furniture restorer would add paint and then add varnish to the sanded wood to protect it and make it shine so too does the Lord.  He adds layer upon layer of grace and mercy on us and restores that joy in our hearts so that we can shine for him. He makes us a new creation and into something so valuable that He was even prepared to die for.

You've taken my pain
called me by a new name
You've taken my shame
and in it's place, You give me joy
Hallelujah, hallelujah
You make all things new, all things new.

Have you made poor choices that have caused you to slip away? Come back. Repent and seek restored fellowship with the Lord today.
