With summer flowering plants each week is an endless supply of blooms in the garden. It's the time of year when the sun can be too strong and harsh for taking photos. There are no excuses ...the weeding has to be done while photography has to wait until later on in the day.

Endless Summer Blooms
Have you ever heard of Deinanthe caerulea Blue wonder? It's quite a rare plant and hardy in my garden. However it will never win any prizes for having eye catching blooms. In other words it's understated. Though it will grab the attention of your garden visitors and be a bit of a 'talking piece'.
There's a new naturalism trend in with garden planting design. In this post I ponder whether to allow Turnips to grow as flowers in the garden. Or even allow some Cow Parsley into the borders!
